The market place is the busiest, most interesting and taste-tempting place in Bamberg as well as any town in Germany. Everything about it delights the senses in every way. Just the atmosphere of people enjoying the day makes you happy to be alive and a part of the experience. Everywhere are shopkeepers' signs that harken back to old village traditions. Neon is not welcome in the Marktplatz.
