The history dates as far back as
1100 to the dynasty von Lauf. In 1275 it was in the possession
of the Wittelsbachers and was then purchased by Emporer Karl
IV in 1353. In 1373 it was returned to the Wittelsbachers. In
1504 the castle was conquered by the emperial city of Nurnberg.
It remained their possession until 1806 |
